Have you been to a mall and ever seen a massage chair? Massage chairs are seeming to pop up everywhere. I have seen them in airports, malls and even car washes. One thing that you will notice is that they are rarely vacant. There is always somebody sitting in them. Perhaps you have seen them, with their eyes closed and a big smile on their faces. Every once in a while you may get lucky and find one open. If you do, this is your chance and go take a seat and try out the massage chair.
If you have been walking around the mall for a while, then sitting in the massage chair will be a welcome relief. It should be comfortable to sit in. It should feel plush and sit around and support your body well.
Now you want to find the remote control of the massage chair. It is usually located in a cradle which is attached to the side of the massage chair. The remote will normally have an LCD screen and many function buttons. Find an automatic massage program and select that to begin your relaxation.
Let's see what some of these buttons do anyway. I push the main power on. I select the first automatic program I can push. Wow, the whole massage chair comes alive. It is massaging my back. It is massaging my feet. It is even massaging my butt.
When you activate the automatic massage program, the massage chair comes alive. Remember a massage chair works in parallel annual massage many different parts of your body at one time. This is the true power of a massage chair that they can deliver full body massage capability on demand.
Sometimes, when you first start getting a massage, you will notice that you tense up. You may be a little sensitive when different parts of your body are touched. This is a normal reaction until you can begin to relax.
The massage given by the massage chair is very invigorating. It has good penetration and is loosening up some of the bigger muscles of my back. I am surprised at the amount of activity going on in the massage chair. There are many parts of my body receiving treatment at once.
If you have a particular area of tightness, you may find yourself squirming a bit when that area is touched. This is completely normal as you have found an area of tightness. This is what a massage chair is meant to do. Let the massage chair penetrate slowly this area to provide relief and relaxation.
Many people have tightness of the shoulders neck or lower back. One way to relieve this is to select a manual massage technique. Select the massage technique appropriate for you and then select the area of coverage. You can also pinpoint the massage to get the exact area you are trying to hit.
I now try to better pinpoint the massage on one of my trouble spots. This area is tight. I flinched each time the massage rollers pass. I know I need relief. I change to a manual technique and select kneading. I use the up arrows until I place the roller right over my trouble spot. I fight at first, but the massage chair wins and I win with it.
You may sit up a little bit in the chair to ease the pressure. However, sit back slowly and let the rollers penetrate little by little. You'll be amazed at how it will melt away the tightness and tension. This is a great way to relieve a sore or tight muscle area.
I open my eyes and I see a lot of people watching me and waiting their turn for the massage chair. I must have given them a good show because they were all smiling and snickering. But, I am the one with the biggest smile from the effective massage of this wonderful massage chair.
